Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort Information

An abundance of Utah's famous light dry powder and Snowbird's magnificent and varied mountain terrain combine to offer excellent skiing and snowboarding for all ability levels. Lifts and Runs:

Snowbird has one aerial Tram, three high-speed detachable quads, seven doubles, and two rope tows. It has 89 runs, with 27% being beginner, 38% intermediate, and 35% advanced/expert. The longest run is Chip's run, which is 2.5 miles. The longest descent is Gad Valley, 3.5 miles.

Ski Snowbird and Alta

The recent expansion in spectacular Mineral Basin added more intermediate terrain to Snowbird and created a lift served connection to neighboring Alta Ski Area . Both resorts can now be skiied using a combined "dual-resort ticket", providing access to the USA's second largest skiable terrain.

Terrain Park

Snowbird has an entire area dedicated to tabletops,jumps, rails, spines, and hits. They even have a Superpipe.

Getting to Snowbird

Snowbird is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, 29 miles from Salt Lake City Internation Airport (45 minute drive) and 25 miles from downtown Salt Lake City.

Other activities

Snowbird's slopeside pedestrian village provides 15 restaurants, the renowned Cliff Spa, 4 bar/lounges, a business center, ice skating rink, snowmobiling, snowshoe tours and a tubing hill. All locations are convenient to the Snowbird Center from which the tram departs to 11,000 ft Hidden Peak.
