How do I make a reservation?
You can call one of our reservation agents at 800-667-9456 or book online. As part of the process you will agree to our Rental Agreement and make an initial payment.
What is the initial payment and do you require a deposit?
The initial payment is equal to two nights rent and is not a deposit. The initial payment is applied to the rental amount. Instead of a large security deposit, we have a $54 accidental damage waiver that is included with your reservation. This covers up to $1500 of accidental damage.
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Are there additional fees or is the price quoted the “out the door” cost?
The total price you are quoted over the phone, via email, or when you get an online quote includes tax and fees, there are no additional hidden fees.
What are the fees?
The transaction fee varies based on the property you stay in and covers cleaning and processing your reservation. There is also an accidental damage waiver of $54, which is in lieu of a security deposit, and covers any accidental damage up to $1500.
Is daily cleaning or mid-stay cleans included in the cost?
No, daily and mid-stay cleans are not included in the cost of your stay but can be arranged for an additional cost. Please call prior to your arrival for pricing and to schedule additional cleaning.
What is your cancellation policy?
UVH retains the right to cancel this Agreement until the Rental Fee is received from you.Large Properties accommodating 14 or more require 2 night non-refundable initial payment. If a reservation is cancelled by you 45 days or less before arrival, 100% of the Rental Fee will be forfeited unless the unit can be rented to another party.
About the home
What is the address of the home?
For security and safety of our vacation homes and our guests we only provide the address once a reservation is made. However, we understand the importance of location to our guest and have created maps of our homes to provide this information. You can see the location of all our homes together on our property map, or you can see the location of each individual home from the property webpage.
What amenities are in the home?
Each home is owned by an individual owner; as such the amenities vary by home. Visit the property webpage to find the major amenities offered for a particular place.
What is the maximum occupancy and is it different than the number of people the home can sleep?
The maximum occupancy is based on the number of people the home can sleep. There are a few homes where there are more spaces for sleeping than the maximum occupancy. The owner chose to do this to allow for different sleeping configuration but is not intended to allow for more guests. The maximum occupancy is the maximum number of people that can be in the home at any given time during the day or night.
Is the hot tub working?
Our hot tubs are serviced 2-3 times per week and preventative maintenance is done. On occasion there are unforeseeable issues, which we fix as quickly as possible.
How many towels will be in the home?
We provide 2 bath towels and 1.5 hand towels and washcloths per person based on the advertised maximum occupancy. For example if the home advertises a maximum occupancy of 8, there will be 16 bath towels and 12 hand towels and washcloths.
How do I check-in or get the keys?
UVH offers an express check-in where you are able to go directly to the home rather than stop at an office to pick up keys. 7-10 days before your arrival you will be sent an email with driving directions from the Salt Lake Airport to the home. In that email you will also be given an access code which you will use instead of keys to access the home.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Check-in and check-out times are important for our inspectors and cleaning crew’s schedules to prepare the home for you or our next guest. If you’re scheduled to arrival earlier or depart later please contact us with that information.
Can I check-in early or check-out late?
UVH strives to accommodate requests for an early check-in or late check-out. Please let us know before you arrive what time you would like to arrive or depart and we will try to accommodate your request. When we are able to accommodate your request our complimentary early arrival is as early as 1:00 PM and our complimentary late departure is as late as 12:00 PM. We are not always able to and do not guarantee either unless you purchase the previous or next night. How can I buy and rent out my own vacation home?
UVH can assist you in finding a home in the right location, and the right size and layout for rental proceeds through our affiliated Real Estate Broker. We can also help you furnish and design the home in a way that will be most attractive to potential vacation guests.
