Getting to Alta:

Alta Ski Area, Alta.Com, is located 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, State Highway 210. They are 33 miles and approximately 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) operates a ski bus route from many locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley right to the base of Alta's lifts. Because of convenient schedule times, skiers can enjoy a full day, morning or afternoon half-day of skiing.

Alta also offers Cat Skiing in Grizzly Gulch. And don't forget about the Beginner Pass that is good for the Albion, Sunnyside & Cecret lifts for $25 and the combined Snowbird/Alta pass for $66. All this and anyone can ski for free after 3:00 p.m. Kids 12 and under $20.
