Alta Ski Resort Information
Alta and pure unspoiled skiing are synonymous. Alta is scheduled to open November 16, 2012 conditions permitting.Getting to Alta:
Alta Ski Area is located 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, on State Highway 210. It is 32 miles and approximately 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) operates a ski bus route from many locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley right to the base of Alta's lifts. The convenient schedule times allows skiers to enjoy a full day, morning or afternoon half-day of skiing.2012/2013 Alta Prices:
Adult day pass is $75, the Beginner Pass is good for the Albion, Sunnyside & Cecret lifts for $40. Kids 12 and under $40. Anyone can ski for free after 3:00 PM. Being recognized in the ski industry as #1 for Value is an extreme honor for Alta. Alta is dedicated to providing a quality skiing experience for a reasonable price- a philosophy that has been paramount since Alta's founding in 1938.
